I Thought It Was Wonder Woman's Jet That Was Invisible

The original splash page from DC Special Series #19 is currently up for auction on Heritage's site. It features a somewhat iconic look at Wonder Woman's origin through the artistic talents of Jose Delbo and Vince Colletta...
It's a gorgeous piece of artwork, but it does raise one question for me. And maybe this stems from my being more of a Marvel guy than a DC guy, but I thought it was Wonder Woman's jet that was invisible, not her boots...

Wonder Woman is invisible when she is inside her plane. The artists showed that he understood that and left it to the colorist to play with what we see.
The error in many stories is coloring Wonder Woman inside the plane when she is supposed to be invisible, much like how the Invisible Girl would be at Marvel comics.
Originally Wonder Woman had a transparent plane where one can argue that you could see her in the plane.
I like to think that Wonder Woman had more than one vehicle, a transparent plane, an invisible plane and an invisible jet. Each had different abilities. This would satisfy the discrepancies for each writer that handled her series and give credit to what they wrote.
This video may answer some other questions you have about her plane:
